My position: My stance on unions is that when done right, they can be a big benefit to workers and to an employer. Unions that are run wrong can ruin a union and undermine their workforce who support it and the employer who provides the jobs by demanding too much power and serving only their own interests and lining their pockets with dues $$. I have been a part of a union with a previous employer and I do remember getting a two dollar raise within months of starting the job. I do not remember anything bad except for the money paid to the union from each checkWrite a brief statement of your original position ( please see above) and your 1- to 2-page counter argument.
