Maslow’s hierarchy of Needs theory can be applied in two or more workplace situations. It has been mentioned earlier that the sales executives are getting de-motivated due to the growing job pressure and pressure of target achievement. In addition to this, management of the organization does not provide appropriate performance appraisal to the employees. Employees within an organization always try to gain effective social recognition from their colleagues, managers or top level management. Therefore, it is highly important for an organization to ensure effective employee motivation aspect. It has been figured out that the entire sales department is facing issues like, social recognition, extreme job stress and inadequate performance appraisal. All of these negative situations or issues may get resolved in my organization through the application of Maslow’s hierarchy of Needs theory. It has been discussed earlier that needs for social recognition can be considered as an important aspect for the management of the organization. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory can be applied in this situation in order to overcome the issue. First of all, it is true that effective employee social recognition can help the employees to get motivated towards the assigned job roles and job responsibilities.
The management of the organization can engage the experienced and skilled employees in the decision making process in order to enhance the social recognition aspects. This strategy can help both the employer and employees. It is important for an organization to ensure effective workplace environment in the sales department as it is one of the important departments within a manufacturing organization. Employee engagement can help the employees to provide effective suggestions or values to the organizations.
