Because I did not have a professor on hand, I had to teach myself new math terms, learn ways to solve mathematical problems, and read all the chapters. Needless to say, the hour-long study for this class turned into a lot more and cut into my study time for the other classes that I took last semester. I was very distracted with the difficulties I faced in Math and was unable to focus on my other schoolwork. Consequently, I couldnt keep up with the Math class properly. I tried to put all my effort into submitting the assignments and studied really hard for the exam. I talked with Dean of the Math department for advice on how to pass this class after I received an E grade. The advice I received was to take this class as a regular class rather than an online class. I have been permitted to take the class in fall, as you would be able to see on my class registration for the fall semester. I understand now that there are still many things that I have to learn in the U.S. In the future, I will always consult people, such as the dean of Math department, who can help me to plan my education better.
I would really like to graduate in the U.S. I have learned English at Bergen Community College and am now taking college level computer science classes that are compatible with Montclair State University, which is in Montclair City of New Jersey. I will graduate next year from Bergen Community College as a Computer Science major and am taking classes accordingly under the general education major that is stated on my I-20. My plan is to transfer to Montclair State University next year. It would mean so much to me to graduate with a degree from this school—it would make me the first person in my family to complete a college degree. this is the main reason why I want to retake all the classes that I have failed. Please excuse my mistake regarding to the online math class I took last semester.
