One day on a crowded subway train a man was sitting there squeezed in bytwo other individuals and thought to him self that this is a good idea for a cookie and thushis idea was born. So therefor in our ad I am going to try to show that the filling feelslike someone being sandwiched between two other people, which happen to be twodelicious cookies.The promotional mix I am breaking each section down into categories of thepromotional mix with some ideas for each and how to do each part. For the personalselling part of our promotional mix we can design a contest that goes into school or forthe boy scouts to sell the cookies door to door and have prizes and incentives for theamount of cookies sold. We can have personal incentives for the amounts sold and tohave group incentives such as scholarships or donation money for schools etc.For advertising, I think we are obviously going to have 3 major groups, thosebeing Adults, children, and teens. We can attract the product to adults by showing that itis a snack that reminds them of when they were young and the great nostalgia it brings.For children we show the deliciousness and excitement that the cookie brings. For theteens, we show how great the taste is and how convenient the product can be to get anduse.Public relations can be a hard thing to tackle; we need to find out exactly how weare going to make this healthy or the right proportion size to make it seem healthy byshowing a proper serving size. Also by the personal selling and incentives such asdonations and things like that, we can offer donations and coupons that help a greatercause which would promote public relations for the product. Also we can show thatcreating the product does not harm the environment and we can use safe packaging topromote this.Sales promotion can be done through some of the mediums that we already haveemployed plus on every package sold there will be a lottery type offer like instant winnerchance inside. Also we could have mail in codes and Internet activated codes for prizes ormail-ins for the amount of cookies purchased by a particular person for a chance at aprize. We could offer coupons at the local stores and in the isles of stores to help peoplewant to buy the cookies. Also we can offer free samples inside and or outsides of storesor malls to promote the product. Another good idea is that we can make the productsocial by having an Instagram, Facebook, and twitter that make people show themselvesenjoying the product and offering incentives for them to make posts about the productsuch as free giveaways and special thanks to devoted customers.Direct marketing can be through the obvious mediums such as TV, magazine,newspaper, Internet, and social media. Another good idea for the direct marketing is thatwe can have special set ups in stores that promote the product as a stand alone productwith its own cardboard stand or advertisement to show the product and make people wantto try it.
