Review the Anytown simulation in the Topic Material. The
community hospital sits in the heart of the downtown. In an effort to keep the
hospital functioning during a major emergency or disaster, it is important to
identify pre-designated locations for triage areas and mobile hospitals. These
pre-designated locations should be listed in the community’s EOP Public Health
Annex. List 3-5 locations that can be
used for the function of triage and mass care in Anytown. Justify your choices
and explain how those locations could be prepared to fulfill that function
during an incident.
Module 4 DQ2
Conduct a brief hazards analysis of your own region. Which
hazard constitutes the biggest threat to public health in your area? Do you
think appropriate mitigation measures are in place to minimize the threat? How
well do you think your community is prepared to respond to the threat if
disaster were to strike?
