For this assignment, you will enter a discussion post that demonstrates your look at the professional associations and organizations in the field of health psychology in the current culture. This means you should seek out and follow Twitter and/or Facebook feeds relevant to health psychology for 24-72 hours. You may also scroll through these feeds to see what has been posted in the most recent two to three weeks. For example, Society of Health Psychology APA Division 38 can be found on Facebook. Twitter feeds relevant to health psychology include: @HealthPsychNUIG; @APADivision38. Many leading researchers in the field are also on Twitter. If you are interested in a particular researcher, follow them on Twitter for the latest updates on their research. Also, researchers typically share relevant news stories and others’ research so it’s a good way to stay current. Once you have a sense of what is happening in the field right now, you will then write a paper and discuss the trends and current events that you viewed.

Alternative assignment if you do not or cannot view social media: Please conduct research on social media trends as related to the field of health psychology and write a discussion post, including references, which demonstrates what you have learned related to the dissemination of research through social media platforms.

Please include two scholarly resources in the post.
