It also provides opportunities for all students at thecollege to gain technology fluency through its general education offering, Introduction to InformationTechnology. IET faculty facilitate innovative learning experiences that equip students with the technicaland problem-solving competencies required to obtain employment in the computer industry or continueeducation at a four-year institution . In addition, the faculty work diligently to create partnerships withlocal technology employers and are active participants in private and government technology initiativesto ensure currency in both instructional methods and curricula. The department also provides studentsupport mechanisms and dynamic programs that foster retention.This RFP is available to firms that are interested in helping us improve our services to our IET studentsWe are accepting proposals for development of a Content Management System or other technologicalresource to help make students aware of academic, employment and networking resources. Specificallywe are looking to establish a clearinghouse where student can access information on technology relatedjobs, internships, and service learning opportunities. In addition, we would like to have a place where allIET and technology events can be displayed. Furthermore, we would like a place where students can listtheir books, and provide a place for trade or purchase.
