Project Management- traditional project management tools and techniques
January 5th, 2018
TopicProject management has been applied, but not originated, software development methods. For instance, the traditional, waterfall method can be traced to Winston Royce in 1970 after which project managementtools and techniques were applied. Likewise, agile methods arose from software developers who werefrustrated with shortcomings of the traditional, waterfall approach. Larson and Gray describes Scrum as anagile project management approach; however, it did not originate with the Project Management Institute.Question:Can traditional project management tools and techniques really be applied in conjunction with agilesoftware development methods or do these methods require new project management tools andtechniques?
